A little about me

I’ve been a jewelry maker since junior high. Years ago, I began selling beaded brooches made from found objects and recycled watch faces to friends, family, and local boutiques. What started as a side hustle grew into something more meaningful.

The current version of Heart and Sol Designs was born from a desire to make a living while being creative. And, to make things that matter.

The idea for hand stamping came to me after remembering a ring I saw as a child, stamped with the word LOVE. That single word, stamped in metal, stuck with me. When I discovered the tools to do it myself years later, I knew I had found my medium.

Heart and Sol Designs creates hand-stamped jewelry and accessories that celebrate life’s milestones, big feelings, and tiny victories. One letter at a time. Each piece is made using individual steel stamps and a hammer. The result? A perfectly imperfect keepsake as real as the life it represents. Like a fingerprint or a Persian rug, every item is unique.

Founded long before social media turned crafting into content, Heart and Sol began as a way to combine creativity with meaning. Over time, it evolved into a full-time endeavor — fueled by community, rooted in connection and memory, and grounded in the magic of making something by hand.

On January 8th, 2025, the Eaton Wildfire in Altadena claimed our home, our belongings, and the tools I used to build this business. Steel doesn’t survive a 2,000-degree fire, but the will to keep creating did. Rebuilding Heart and Sol from scratch has become its own kind of forging. The loss deepened my commitment to handmade work and to the value of objects with heart and history. New tools. Same passion.

Each piece is still hand-stamped the old-school way. With individual steel stamps and a hammer. With human hands and heavy tools. It’s not engraving. It’s not machine-made. It’s personal. And that’s exactly the point.

Whether it’s a gift for a new driver, a proud grandparent, someone navigating loss, or a keepsake honoring a new chapter; these are stories made wearable. Special to give. Timeless to wear. A reminder of what matters most.

Thank you for stopping by and considering my small business!
